  • Only applications with complete supporting documents will be accepted. All documents have to be submitted in original plus 2 copies.
  • Applications are accepted by appointment only. Each person applying for a visa (even children) has to book an appointment. Once you obtained the necessary documentation for your visa application, please send an email to info@oslo.diplo.de, requesting an appointment and also mention the purpose for your planned stay to Germany. We will then make out an appointment per e-mail.

  • The processing of your application usually takes up to 3 months. Please make sure, that your Norwegian residence permit does not expire in the meantime.
  • If you send us all documents by e-mail (address: info@oslo.diplo.de), as well as the completed application form and a copy of the data page of your passport, we can prepare the interview in advance.
  • During visa processing, the German Embassy examines each individual application extensively in accordance with German law. Other German authorities often have to participate in the decision-making process. Therefore, the embassy cannot predict the outcome of a visa application.
